T O P I C R E V I E WKen HavekottePicking up from the first Skylab crew (SL-2), here are display panel montages for the second Skylab (SL-3) crew mission from July to September 1973. While this is only a brief look into some Skylab II (SL-3) signed covers, photos, and other related material, I've tried to depict different crew signed cachet covers along with other signed SL-3 personnel covers such as the mission's astronaut backup crew, support team astronauts, program officials, flight directors, and more. There are so many others that I can't share due to limited spacing, and several of those seen here were obtained during my early space cover collecting years as a high schooler and college student.Next up, which I am very excited about, would be the 50th anniversary of SL-4, the final Skylab crew, in November 1973 to February 1974. This was perhaps one of my all-time favorite spaceflight crew missions for a variety of reasons. More to come next month!
